Quick notes on the invasion of the Azeri Army in Artsakh

The dictatorial Aliyev regime of Azerbaijan is committing genocide against the indigenous Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh in Armenian). While the few media reporting on the situation spin it according to their interests, we want to share a short note with our perspective.

While only international intervention could prevent ethnic cleansing of the Armenian people in Artsakh from worsening, international powers, whose state and corporate interests are complicit in genocide (trade deals and weapons contracts with Turkey and Azerbaijan) turn a blind eye to the bloodshed.

But the struggle does not end there. The dictator Aliyev, emboldened by full support from Turanist ally, dictator Erdoğan, is already making claims on all the territory of the Republic of Armenia – he will bring the war there!

Every people must be able to live free with the full expression of their culture, in harmony with other peoples and the lands of which we are part. Peoples of all nations must unite against dictators and the mentality of state, which seeks to divide us to increase its own power.

Only by internationalist solidarity and revolution, ridding the world of the illness of state and capitalist domination, can we realize a free life for all peoples! Against all wars of state aggression, mutual aid and common struggle for free life!

We encourage you to hear the voices of Armenian, Russian and Azeri Anarchists speaking from the heart of this struggle in this article recently published. Also this one about Russian Anarchist solidarity with Armenian refugees.

As the Armenian Anarchist Alexander Atabekian wrote,

“The natural connection with one’s home, with the homeland in the literal sense of the word, should be called territoriality, in contrast to statehood, which is a forced unification within arbitrary boundaries. Anarchism, while rejecting statehood, cannot deny territoriality. Love for homeland and tribe is not only not alien, but is also characteristic of an anarchist no less than any other person.”

Long live international solidarity!

Her bijî hevgirtina enternasyonal!

Կեցցե միջազգային համերաշխություն!
