More than five years ago SDF brought the caliphate of ISIS to an end. Now, with the new offensive of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, we risk a rebirth of their atrocities. HTS has united many jihadist groups with ex-fighters of the caliphate in their ranks. Recently they started a big offensive, breaking through the seige of Idlib and making the Syrian Arab Army collapse. Aleppo has been the first big city they captured, seizing big amounts of advanced weapons left behind by regime soldiers.

In memory of Dimitriy Petrov and all comrades who fell fighting for freedom in Ukraine – Remembering şehid Arteş, Çiya and Harris
One year ago, April 19th 2023, close to Bakhmut, three comrades came under artillery fire. The attack of the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine brought their life to an end. Few days latter a vigil took place in Kyiv to remember them and their struggle. Two of those comrades joined the ranks of the Rojava revolution years before they decided to go to Ukraine, and we sent a letter for their funeral.

Today marks 5 years since our comrade Lorenzo Orsetti (Tekoşer Piling) gave his life while fighting with the Syrian Democratic Forces against the last bastion of the Islamic State in Syria, in Al-Baghuz Fawqani, Deir Ezzor. To honour his memory we are re-publishing his last journals and writings.

União Libertária, a group of young libertarians in Portugal, came into contact with militants of the Tekosîna Anarsîst (TA, Anarchist Struggle in Kurdish), present in Rojava, in northeastern Syria. This is a militant conversation around the reflections of this voluntary anarchist group around justice, art, religion and what it is to be “revolutionary”. TA, in addition to having participated in the difficult fight against the forces of the Islamic State (ISIS), currently also functions as a unit of combat medics, assists in agricultural work and plays an educational role.

Once again, the Turkish Army has been launching a big scale bombing campaign all across Rojava. For the last 5 days, critical infrastructure like power plants, water stations and oil facilities has been bombed. More than 200 civilian and military locations had been targeted.
